Our First Christmas

This is it, our first Christmas tree! Well ok, it's not our first but, this is the first Christmas in years that we get to use our own decorations, get our own style tree and to be honest, the first Christmas in years we've had the holiday spirit!⁣

For the past few years, we existed at the in-laws. I say that because that's what we were doing, occupying space. We weren't a family and we certainly didn't let ourselves enjoy our lives. We grew apart Randy was living his own life, staying away from the situation and us as much as possible. The kids and I lived in my room, no car and no freedom, nothing seemed to feel like it was ours, and the in-laws, well to be fair, lived life with unwanted family members in their house. ⁣

But this year is so different! This year we went out and got OUR first Christmas tree that was truly ours. We got ornaments that WE loved and we started the first of many traditions with our babies putting the tree up as a family! Along with Foggy climbing and playing through it lol.⁣

This year the spirit is strong and it's strong because we are happy, it's strong because we are finally united as a family, it's strong because our love for each other is strong once again!⁣
